malwarebytes + antivirus

Is it counter productive to a systems performance to have malwarebytes running in protection mode along side an antivirus scanner like MSE? They're not scanning the same stuff are they?

Do you have Realtime switched on Malwarebytes?

Yep which has got me thinking that might be overkill?

Since disabling Malwarebytes real time the system notably websites seem to be loading faster. Of course that could be a placebo, the alignment of the stars etc...
