Malwarebytes memory eating with crash results

This afternoon mwb had a background update, it has introduced a major issue, the process will eat all system memory and kill the system
Closing the process stalls this for a time
Real time web protection is also autooff currently

Mwb are aware of the issue and working upon a cause

Attempts to uninstall, including using their secure tool will likely fail currently

Will uodate when they do

Just had this myself, managed to uninstall, had issues with malwarebytes switching off protection as well in the past, can be a bit of a pain

Thanks Destination, I started to get concerned. My system has been doing the same this evening, logged on at 5pm and has been inexplicably crashing every say, 30 minutes. I wondered what was going on!

I noticed Malwarebytes was using a lot of memory and Web Protection was turned off (which alarmed me) but suspected it could be a glitch.

Malwarebytes seems to be working now and web protection is back online.

Uninstall and update, or simply update and reboot if you can.
