MAME help required

Hello all

First post here so please be gentle :-)

OK, I now have a bit of time and some of the resources to build a MAME cabinet. I will tell you all, I am not much of a gamer, but just fancy the idea of having one to play the odd game now and then.

Been reading a fair bit, but nothing seems to stay the same for long in MAME land!

My main interest is in shooting games, so what I am after is reccomendations for a suitable light gun to use. I have a 20" flat screen VGA monitor which I'd like to use but nothing is set in stone.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I would google the EMS TopGun, it's fairly hard to find and costs around £30ish but I think it's probably the best LCD/Mame compatible light gun.

You could also look at the AimTrak Light Gun.
