Knowing the speed of justice in this country, probably spent the time building up a case that won't collapse at the last moment, and waiting for the case to come to trial.

I don't think that 2 years is that long to bring a case of this nature to court given that the bomb plot allegedly involves the UK and US and a variety of attacks including a radiological device.

I would assume that a crime of this nature needs a lot more investigation than a shoplifter in woolworths.

There is much reference to "plotted" and "planned" in the article, obvious really as it's a conspiracy case.
I would be interested to know to what extent the plans had been developed, as I suspect it was very little, especially considering the studies showing that the impact of a "dirty" bomb would be virtually nothing beyond the explosive, assuming the plotters even had a way of getting hold of the material.

Any Muslim convicted of terrorist plot should be burnt alive, then wrapped inside the body of a pig, then their body thrown into a pit of pigs and pigs blood. Only way to deter them.

No. That may just enflame the situation, along with being offensive to law abiding Muslims ? Thats crazy talk.

They should be jailed for a long time. Here I use the word terrorist in it's general term as I care not what the religion is behind it.

The whole notion of conspiracy charges lie uncomfortably with me. I recognise the need to be able to prosecute people who are about to commit a terrorist act without letting them commit it, but at what point in their preparation is this appropriate. At the stage where they may have made idle discussion of an idea? When they wrote down their idea? When they made plans to secure materials they would need to carry out their plans?

I'm not saying I have a solution, but I don't like the idea of punishing people for something they may not have actually done.
