Scott Williams was found dead at the Sussex Waste Recycling site in Newhaven, East Sussex, on Monday morning.

A post-mortem revealed he died of crush injuries, Sussex Police said.

The 35-year-old, from Wembley, north west London, was reported missing an hour after his body was found by a member of staff at the recycling tip.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said detectives are investigating how Mr Williams came to be among the rubbish, collected from wheelie bins around Brighton.

Police suspect he may have fallen asleep in a rubbish skip or wheelie bin while on a night out.

He had been out with a friend in Brighton on Saturday night and was seen in various pubs until around 1am on Sunday.

The spokeswoman said: "Police are investigating how he came to be there and are treating his death as unexplained rather than suspicious."

I guess it wasn't a wheelie good night ;)

I think his family refuse to comment about where he had bin. The story stinks as it's a wheelie bad way to go. But I guess he's doing his bit for the community and is recycling.
