Man Sentenced to Life After Setting His Best Man on Fire

UK: 27-year-old Wayne Barnes has been sentenced to life in prison with a non-parole period of 15 years after he fractured the skull of his best man while he was sleeping, set him on fire, robbed him, and left him to burn.

The assault followed a drunken dispute between the pair. Just six weeks earlier the 37-year-old victim had paid for his attacker's wedding and furnished his house. He had also given Barnes a job.

His victim, John Maynard, lost both legs and the fingers on one hand. He also suffered 40% burns and brain damage. Maynard said that justice wasn't done but that he was happy with the verdict. Barnes' bride says she hates him and that he can rot.

I think that Wayne Barnes should have had done to him what he did to that man, but even worse, infact why not go chuck him into a volcano or something then, rob him then chop his fingers and legs off aswell. He should also them should be sentanced to life and 100 years non-parole period.

That is insane, i was actually shocked reading it (and the internet struggles to shock me)

After all the guy did for him,

He should die, slowly and painfully, but the usual crowd will be in soon saying how he didn't know what he was doing and how he is probably a good guy deep down etc.
