Man solves Rubik's Cube - after 26 years

He'll probably build a rubik cube house now his hands are free of the toy but will still be wanting to twist and turn whatever they grip onto.
 
I can do them in about 2/3minutes - good party trick especially when you bet people you can do it in 20mins and they agree and you solve it in 3 :)

Made quite a bit of cash doing that!
 
Working out how to do it yourself with no pre-written method is no easy feat. 26 years though!! :D

I bought a book when I was 10 and could do it in 1 minute. Only one other kid in my school was sad enough to also learn.

Nowadays the methods they use are nothing like the simple methods which you can learn from the simple guides you can find on the net.

Doesn't it give it a way a bit when you turn up at every party with a rubik's cube handy ;)
 
Surely given enough time, you'd solve it by accident? A bit like the explanation of infinity, where if you had infinitely many monkeys with type writers, one of them would type a line of Shakespeare at some point.
 
man, i feel sorry for people with serious obsessions, i can't imagine what it's like to need something that badly
