Imagine the expectations on him if we could call him back from a Championship side that he appears settled at, to central midfield at the top of the Premiership during a real injury crisis. And if memory serves right, he spent more time on the treatment table at Old Trafford than being in a position to be selected for the first team or bench.

I'd go for De Jong myself. Good player and a better age. I agree with the abovve about Rio, its was thought he's end up as a centre mid when he was coming through the ranks as hes so good on the ball. Even the 20 mins against Burton he got he was hugely better than O'Shea. With Brown looking back to his best and Vidic coming in I can see him at least trying it tonight if we get a lead.
