managed to get super glue on my finger.

A few minutes ago I noticed some wall paper was becoming un stuck, so i grabbed some super glue. It had dried up in the end, so i stuck a pin down it to loose it up. Glue then spurted out over my finger

Any suggestions as how to remove it? Tried the white spirit, which didnt help too much. I know paint thinners supposed to be good, but we dont have any. Its the underside of my index finger. Feels like someones wrapped it in selotape.

Its like piking PVA glue off your finger, when in art classes at school, but 1000 times harder

Peel it off.

You only need to use thinners if you stick your fingers together.

Sandpaper. This works as you're just rubbing on the glue, not the skin. Stop when you're down to the bone.

Ive peeled a fair bit off, but im just pinching skin, lol

In my experience (which whenever using superglue I always seem to manage to get some stuck to my fingers) it might take a day or two for it all to come off

Its not as super as i thought! Im just gona let it wear itself away, hopefully it wont be there for too long.

It will just come off by itself as natural sweat/oils lift it off from underneath.

To remove super glue, nail polish remover works great.

is it true it was invented to put wounded soilders back together for the usa, or this another urban myth?

No that is true - it was used in Vietnam.

The best way to remove superglue if it's dried is to put more wet superglue on the same area, in this case your finger. Then you'll need to put your finger up your nose.

The bogies in your nose will help to dissolve the hardened superglue when they react with the wet stuff on your finger.

forget about it, itll wear off in a day of two. to help the process along just start tugging
