Manager Merry Go Round 2014

Well 'tiki taka' clearly does work, Barca had a manager who doesn't prefer the style and certainly can't get the team playing at the same level tito and Pep did.

Also I don't think a team finishing above real Madrid and a goal from the title needs the same rebuild as United lol

According to a few Barca need as big a rebuild as Utd (probably a bit of an exaggeration even with La Liga not being as competitive as the EPL)

Didnt realise Turan was leaving AM, thought he had only just arrived there for some reason. There have been rumours that AM have made a deal about selling Costa to Chelsea to keep Courtois (although how this plays out in the end who knows, not sure how fallable Cech has been this season maybe he could last another season or two at the top with a stronger defence infront of him?). Praying every one else stays to defend the title though (and maybe the CL too....)

Not 100% sure on Turan, just heard the usual rumours that he may be snapped up by a bigger team. Its that time of the year when the stupid rumours about every man and his dog are up for sale:p.

But i dont think Barca really need that big an overhaul in their squad, what they do need is better defenders especially as Puyol has called it a day now. Mascherano and Alves are another 2 that may well be on their way out at Barca.

As a Spurs fan that is painful.

Saying that, I hate anyone that gets anything other than a player on their shirt :P

I want us to announce something soon please, we know it will be 1 of 2 men....but who?!

Probably because so many managers get the sack these days the game is running out of ones that haven't already been written off as clueless :D

Uefa should bring a rule in where the manager has to stay 5 years minimum, backdated from last year ;)

Don't give them any ideas, they're likely to bring in a £50m fine for clubs who sack managers before their contract is fulfilled.

Neither was Pep, and neither was Tito, and both of them did just fine at Barca. Enrique understands the club far better than Tata Martino did, and I think he'll do a fine job. If they can sign a couple of CBs and a right back to cover Dani Alves, I think they'll win the league again next season.

There was no one to argue with :D

At what point did you want Moyes gone ?

Can I answer this?

From the second people started pushing the google eyed waste of space for the job around 4 years ago.

So in effect -1460 days from his appointment.

LOL

I'd be the same now if the situation was to arise for Liverpool, I was willing to give Roy a chance as it wasn't like he was to blame for Rafa being sacked but I doubt if we ended up with a similar appointment I'd be very happy now.

I will laugh so much if it's Moyes.

Not at the Spurs fans per se, but at the situation. I mean Spurs clearly have designs on a CL place, so I would find good ol' Dave's appointment rather bizarre.

And hilarious. :D

I would cry and support Woking instead.

LOL that would bring D.Moyes back into the picture.
God forbid.

D.Moyes - I think he is the only manager I have ever come across where rival supporters felt sorry for a rival club (Man Utd). He was "that" bad.

For years, people have stated that English players have poor technique. Well, I think there are some English players who have great technique. Bale is pretty good. Beckham had great technique. And we shall see if Man Utd have the backbone to handle an overly technical style of play.

English players, playing with great technique, comfortable in possession and adept at quick fluid passing. Now that's waht I am looking forward to seeing at Man Utd.

TBF, Moyes is a great manager, for a team which is battling to stay up.
The 3 clubs who have been recently promoted - they would do well to hire Moyes. I think he will do a good job. He will make them difficult to beat and he won't be under any pressure to beat the big clubs.

A team of motivated sportsman one season, to a team that struggles to beat cannon fodder at home and in most cases lost?

That's down to two very different managers.

Precisely.
If it was only 1 or 2 players who dropped in performance, I could understand. But when circa 90% of the players were "reduced". Something isnt right here.

Unless he was a saboteur I still struggle to understand how Moyes managed to have such a negative effect on our team.

And the biggest lie in football - Moyes actually convinced millions of people that the reigning champions turned to cheese during the Summer and that we need a complete rebuild.

Under the right management/system, with the addition of a few players (which is normal), this team can definitely challenge for the title. I'm actually expecting normal service to be resumed next season, but lets wait and see.

Spurs fans wouldn't put up with Moyes.

His stock is at rock bottom at the moment, if United go on to drastically improve with only a handful of signings this summer I could well see him not getting another premier league job again.

Not the way football goes through managers these days. Proven failures are given chance after chance and rarely are lower league managers given a shout.

Mark Hughes seems to manage to get jobs ok, as does Steve Bruce :D

I do not think he will get the Spurs job, I think they would be mad to give him the job with confidence in him so low. He will get another PL job though, I'd put money on that.
