Thought I would check how other people manage their emails.
One of the problems with my current system, as its a little hard to keep an eye on new emails.
Does anyone have any ideas / tips on how to manage emails.
Currently I have two accounts
1) Work (self employed) (Outlook with POP 3 / IMAP)
2) Personal (Gmail)
I don't tend to delete email ever.
The Gmail account has 121,904 emails in the inbox.
My Outlook file is 7GB for the inbox / sent items, and 35,000 unread emails.
Question:
If I were to signup new email addresses and start using them differently, should I be trying to always keep the inbox empty?
When I go away I tend to use IMAP to quickly view new messages, then when I return I download them all via POP3.
I like POP3 as it gives me a backup I can control.
Or is what I'm currently doing OK?
