Managing Podcasts on nano

In addition to the Podcast subscriptions I have on my Nano via iTunes I have half a dozen or so Podcasts that I have downloaded manually off the web in MP3 format which I would like to consolidate into my itunes/nano. I’ve imported them into the library, but they are just showing in the music section. Is there any way to get them to show up in the podcast section of itunes and on the nano?

Any advice is welcomed.

i dont think there is. it's the same with the video, if you download off a standalone RSS reader or the web, i think the mp3s can only be imported into the music library and not the podcasts library. which is a bit annoying.

Its not possible im afraid.
It happens with videos as well. They appear under movies even if they are set to 'music video' genrè.

Just use a few playlists.

Its a pain though because even if you set the genre to podcast, they still get picked up when you do a party shuffle on both Itunes and the nano itself....
