Hey guys, what do you think of this start? I say start because I think i'll add to it a little more with another image across the bottom, but i've got to take the right image yet :)

I know some of you don't like HDR, but I personally think this shot suits it?

They're much better seperate. Though i don't think the first one works with HDR as it has become quite hard to look at :(

The third one is brilliant. A good example of where HDR can be used to great effect. The banner to the left of the image spoils it a bit though.

The second image is a bit so so for me. I don't personally like it but I still think its a good image. There does seem to be quite a lot of blown highlights in it.

going a touch against the grain here, I love the second image, but the third does nothing for me!

I can't comment on the composition, because it isn't showing up here :/

But yeah, I really like the second one :)

oops i moved the picture on my webspace and forgot about it in my thread :) It's back in the OP :)

Cheers,

Tom.

They're not so good together, because the perspective is so obviously different in each of the two shots, so it looks totally artificial when put together.

Individually, I like the shots.

Incidentally, the third shot up the clock tower with the brooding sky makes me think of 10:04pm, 88mph and a bolt of lightning!

that second ones colours are magnificent, do you have it in a bigger size?

i'm afraid i don't, I only did it as hdr to see if it worked and did it all in the res you see now to make it a bit quicker. Unfortunately i'm going away soon and wont be back til next week so wont have time to do it :(

Cheers for the comments guys :)

Tom.

sorry mate, usually I like your stuff but I feel you've just taken the HDR a bit too far this time. It's left them feeling/looking a bit artificial for my tastes.

hey dod :) making it look surreal was my intention, so i suceeded :p I know not everyone will like shots like this though, that's why it's the extreme minority of my work :D
