Manchester folk: Who makes those suet puddings?

As title really; If I remember correctly, nearly all the chip shops in Manchester serve these steamed suet (steak) puddings with a rich dark gravy; I can't remember the maker's name though ....... driving me nuts.

Would also like a recipe for the dark (almost black) gravy please, if anyone has one, I'd be most grateful.
