This is great every year and looks to be even better this year, a lot of brilliant bars & restaurants involved many of which are pretty hidden away & are not very well known unless you know Manchester well.

An Evening with Schlenkerla Monday 24th September 17:30 at Port Street Beer House
Schlenkerla is a historic brewpub in Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany renowned for it's 'Rauchbier' or smoked beer. For the first time in Manchester the rauchbier will be served straight from an oak barrel on the bar top in the traditional manner, the brewer from Schlenkerla will be there to host the evening.

This tasting will look in depth at wine and meat pairing.
Red wine isn't always best and Malbec is NOT the only red wine to go well with steak! We will use Champagnes, dessert wines and white wines and maybe a few reds from around the globe to show how wine works paired with different cuts of meat.
