Manfrotto 141RC head

Hi all,

I am trying to buy a Manfrotto 141RC head for my Manfrotto 190PRO but am having trouble finding one.
Have they stopped making them?

I did bid on one but someone outbid me this morning. If you know anyone who is selling them for under £50 please let me know!

Are there any other similar alternatives for around that price range?

I think that it has been replace by the 804RC2, which seems to retail for about £60. Have you considered the 460MG which is about £50. Nice and light!

That look worst made than the 141RC and it cost more, what are they doing?

Yep, the new one is worse than the old one - weird.

The mag one can not take as much weight and chap in the shop told me to get the 141 back in the day.

I was told the same about the 804RC2, hense the reason for trying to find a 141RC instead. Why did they even bother making the 804RC2?

I have found a 460MG for a good price, so might buy this soon.

I will let you know what I end up buying and will post some photo's etc, hopefully next week.

Wow! They sure do hold their price! I was just budding on a used Manfrotto 190 PRO and it has now reached just £9 under what it costs new.
I was also bidding on a used 460MG and it is just £5 under the new price...

I think I will just buy them new. :eek:

The 460MG can hold less weight than the 141RC or its newer variant... But it's also lighter & squatter, with smaller handles - all of which makes the whole tripod combo smaller and lighter.

I have managed to find a new 141RC for £47, so will order it tomorrow with the 190 tripod.

I am so annoyed... I ordered the 141RC from a site that said it was in stock, but got an email from them today saying it has been discontinued and they hadn't updated their website.

So, I asked for a refund and ordered from another company who also said it was in stock - since ordering they have changed their status to "discontinued" and they haven't even told me yet...

Just a warning for anyone looking to buy this head, it's probably best you buy it from an auction site, because loads of companies can't be bothered to update their websites.

EDIT: Just phoned the second company and it turns out I had the last 141RC in stock, so that's why the status has now changed.
