This might be of interest to some members here. Myself and 2 mates take part in the Club100 series of Karting.

We set this up www.mangoracing.co.uk

After a number of track days we wanted to find something competitive and the c100 seemed like an excellent way in. It certainly is challenging.
And we are competing in the rookie endurance class and are at the back :D

If interested you can also follow us on facebook and twitter

Any other club100 teams here?

Cheers,

Lee.

I currently race Rotax but I think Club 100 is great idea

Karts are a million times better than the usual lawnmowers and you get some pretty good drivers in the series

I might see if I can do it next year alongside Rotax for a laugh

We like it, because of the anti "Cheque Book" racing.
35 karts, assigned at random for the session.
All maintained to the same level.

So, if you're pants.... well you're pants.. :)
Rather than thinking... "hmm we're 1second off the pace.. must buy new engine or tyres etc"

exactly and no need to get your hands dirty and have the hassle of storing and transporting your own kart

Not saying I don't love mine but race weekends are looong weekends sometimes!

I'll be racing at Clay Sunday

hehe Twitter is used to fill facebook ;)

Dmax is poo poo'd by racers in Club100, I've no idea how they compare to be fair but I do know the grids are always full at Club100 so they must be doing something right.

They have enduro's on saturday and sprints on the sunday of each race weekend.

Having raced club100 between 1999 and 2007 I can tell you you have made a good choice :) It's a great way of getting into racing. Decent well prepared 2 stroke karts, excellent racing where the driver counts, not the size of their wallet and a good friendly atmosphere.

Will you give any of the sprint races ago? I'd definitely recommend it - Endurance races are great, especially when you need lots of track time to get up to speed, but it doesn't quite compare to the buzz of the sprints :)

I'm another 1/3rd of MangoRacing, I'd love to do the sprints next year as well.

It will mainly boil down to cost, i'm hoping we might be able to find a small amount of sponsorship for next year to help out.

I raced in the British University Karting Championship between 2007-2010 for Durham Uni. It used the Club 100 karts. Definitely a good kart and a good challenge to drive, my best ever finish was 6th which I was quite proud of considering how good some of the drivers are.
