Mango Windows 7.5 is out

Has anyone moved from iphone4 to windows7.5, anything missing or annoying?

New omnia7 seems to be 240 new, sure iphone4 can be sold for more than that.
And I'll be getting windows8 tablet when they are released in about 12 months.

And, can anyone tell me if WP7 does delivery reports for sms, and if so how please? (was useless on Symbian, great on Blackberry and non-existent on iPhone!)

Messaging tab > settings (at the bottom ...) > SMS delivery confirmation.

Might be what your looking for.

It's customisable is so much you can select the colour for the tiles, what tiles are shown and what image shows on your lock screen. But it's not customisable in the way Android is.

You can also "root" it and get a lot more options, however I can't remember fully what they are.

You certainly don't have the options you have with android though.

I'm unimpressed by 7.5 so far.
Custom ringtones are easy enough. mp3 or wma, <1MB, <39 seconds, change genre to 'ringtone', drag to the phone in Zune.
Haven't figured out how to do custom alert or alarm sounds though.

Im the same, despite 300 or so new features, I can only find a dozen or so . . . .

Though the UI is now a lot more polished, its faster, less laggy, smoother and feels farbetter than the old version. I have noticed the bluetooth is also far better. My car radio (bluetooth) now reads out the text messages and uses voice commands for doing so! Clever, and I like it!

I still think the calender is awful. There is no customisation, such as week starts on <day>, the month view is pointless since there is no detail, the whole thing looks a mess and is not easy to read at all. The calender on my previous phone (5800XM) was far better.

Given up on relying on T-Mobile's software department and flashed a stock retail firmware on the phone. The updates then came rolling in all the way to Mango :)

Totally agree, it's the one area that I think really lets the platform down. Everything else is great!

Amp34 any idea when the nokias are released? Apparently they are the only ones allowed to use SD cards, is this true? Is there any Wp7 which have SD card slots?

I don't think so? Microsoft don't want any swappable storage on WP7 phones due to the Zune marketplace and cloud functionality (just like Apple + iTunes)
It'll be interesting too see if Nokia have convinced them otherwise.

You can mod the HD7 (and others?) with a 32GB microSD card but they're not swappable like BB/Android etc as they're not just used for storage.

Rumors I've read is that nokia were allowed SD card use as part of the agreement.

Can you mod them with any SD card? Have you got any links on how it's down. Is there a 32gb limit, or could you drop in a 64 or 128gb cards in?
