UK TOUR May & June 2007

Manic Street Preachers announce a major UK tour in May and June of this year. The tour is in support of the band's eighth studio album, Send Away The Tigers due for release in May on Columbia. These will be the first Manic Street Preachers touring shows in two years and Nicky Wire promises, `Springsteenesque long sets, working class rage, make-up and dumb punk fun`. A single will be announced shortly.

Have you seen them before? I saw them at Reading 4/5 years ago and tbh I was a little disappointed.. I love the Manics but JDB just stood at the mic and reeled off song after song without emotion/moving I don't know if it was a one-off or if they are always like that live?

They're consistently voted into 'best live act' awards so I'd say its an unfair dismissal. I saw Reading though and I know what you mean: that show was perversely more for the 'fans' and wasnt their most energetic anyway.. usually a lot better
