Agreed, the timing isn't great but it smacks of my masterplan in which the premiership is scrapped and the managers just have to draw straws then take it in turns to pick from all players.

Obviously there are a few technicalities to be worked out first.......

I can't stand these exhibition games, even when I watch pre-season friendlies I'm praying for trouble to kick off. Football is about blood and snotters and getting fired right in, these games are an affront to the sport. If the politicians want to toss each other off they should get a boat in Monaco harbour. :mad:

Well 3 of the confirmed players are English anyway. And considering its a European team, i cant see there being much more than 3-4 of each of the major countrys players in it.
