Manual FAN Speed

Hello am new to all this maintain GPU's I have my Fan speed set to auto and my temps hit 60c when playing BF3 with fan speed up to 64%.
If I was to set a manual speed and keep temps around the 60C what would be best % to set it at?
Am not sure if I should set manual temp with my noob experience with this stuff, you think I should just leave it auto? Dont want to start over heating my card.

P.s its a HD 7950 xfx double D card, and OC to 1000/1575 stock voltage.

Well if 64% fan speed hits 60c then surely setting the fan manually to 64% will do the same?

Also to note is no one could say exactly as your case/airflow will be different to everyone elses. Only thing is to try it

Thanks I heard that setting a custom fan speed, where the fan stays running at say 50% is ment to keep card cooler, than running custom speed.

True or false lol
