So I just started to use them and I'm getting used to it a bit but can anyone give me any tips.

Like those fun racing games like dirt and maybe f1 2010 (if I get it). I will probably buy a steering wheel when I get good enough at the pad, and I just heard that I would be quicker if I used manual gears so I thought to try it out ad I think it feels better but I'm not completely sure. So can anyone give me some tips.

How an you tell when the appropriate moments are and what should you do during corners do you gear down when going in and then start to accelerate a little then gear up at exit? I'm 12 no license it's against the law for me to have a license. What are revs?

I thought that some of the shifts were short shifts which I heard somewhere was good to do sometimes.

I use a wheel so yeah I know where the paddle is.
