Only thing I noticed with that is maybe downshift faster when under breaking (you will slow down quicker). I'm used to F1 atm so might not be as important with Dirt 3. If I get chance/if its feasible I might post some videos of me using a shiftier in Live for Speed and/or F1 with the paddle shift to give you an idea.
These are probably already all over youtube though if you want some examples
All the good ones have already been mentioned, practise downshifting and cornering and keep record of your times and you'll see an improvement in no time
