map drive GPO not applying

Hi

I created a GPO to map network drives. The steps in it are to delete all drive from I: onwards and then map 5 different shares.

The problem I'm having that the GPO is not applying on logon. If I do a gpupdate /force it will apply but if I then disconnect some of the shares and then log off/on they shared don't map unless I do gpupdate /force again.

What could be causing this? The drives were previously mapped bu a script and this GPO is disabled.

If I do gpresult / r I can see the drive map policy showing in the list of applied GPOs.

You need to set that policy to be update and not create

Or replace and ensure that the drive is set to show in the bottom left if I remember right.

Setting it to replace and also show drive seems to be working.
