Bought a laptop via a business website, but it came with Win7 HP on it.

This means that it cannot join a domain, like our other computers.

It is however on the same network. How do i go about mapping a network drive on this computer?

Id sent the damn thing back and ask for a laptop with the right OS on it! Unless it was just something you forgot in which case you can still return it I guess? lol

We've had various customers go and buy laptops on their own before thinking they were getting a good deal... till they realised the wrong OS was on there!

Nah i knew what OS was on there. I offered the boss a choice and he chose this one as it looks nicer and was £70 cheaper (that's the OS then). ~It's half going to be used as a personal laptop anyway.

For what it's used for should be fine. Exchange email works fine. I've mapped the drive now and it reconnects at logon - no worries.
