Map updates for TomTom

i have a tomtom one and was just wondering if i can update the maps at all?
Ive tried connecting it to tomtom server but there doesnt seem to be an option. I would have thought this would have been a free and essential service from tomtom?

Nope. You need to buy map updates. It's a joke really.
