Maplin Mini HDMI / USB player

Has anyone bought / used one of these players ?

I did an online search for the Cyclone but the reports had hundreds of bad feedbacks

So i was thinking of trying the Maplin version

I have now !

No, i didnt bother at the time of finding the player on a google search. I found the Cyclone at Amazon ( i think ) and always read Amazon reviews, which is why i looked for something else.

Also a mate has one of the Maplins and his is ok, but it does look like the Maplin player is as hit and miss as the Cyclone

I'm now stumped as to what to buy.

I thought these were dying out to be honest. I just use my 4k bluray capable DLNA player and a small 500gb Raid NAS. Cost me £25 off the bay. Download the files from my PC to the NAS, play on bluray player to my 4k TV. Even the TV has a player on it that can play files off the NAS.

Just buy a cheap DLNA bluray player and some cheap network storage.
