Guys,

I have two Vista x64 pc's that are networked through my dg834 router, but cannot access my mapped drive's unless i turn UAC off on both pc's.

Is there any way arrounf this?

Idealy i still want to keep my drives mapped and be able to access all HDD partitions on either pc.

cheers

you need to set up accounts on each of the PC's, when the accounts match it will let the user stright though.

I use this to file share form XP to vista and Vista to XP, works like a charm

right, will give that a go. Will i have to set a password, I only ask as one of the pc's is used as a media center and doesnt have a keyboard attached?

You don't need to do that, not if it's set to everyone. Check your settings in network connection centre

you could try tweak uac - that may work, I assume uac is blocking you.
Can't say I have any issue with my mapped folder.
