I have several mapped network drives on all the PC's and I configured them to log on using a different username and password to Server-1.

However, even though they are supposed to log on using the new details I provided, when the machines are re-started, it still asks for username and password to access the network shares.

How can I stop this from happening?

Server-1 runs Windows 2003 SP1 Enterprise, the PC's run a mixture of Windows XP Professional SP2 and Windows 2000 SP4

I'm going to assume you aren't running a domain controller. It doesn't sound like you are.

Are the usernames and passwords the same on the pc's and server? Are they in the same workgroup?

Nah not running DC.

Same username and password exist on server but still asks for it on the client PC .
