If a company or university has dozens of mapped drives to which a user may need access to, rather than having the user type in the UNC path and map a drive each time, does anyone know of a program/util which will allow a user to select what drive they want to connect to and have it done?

Many thanks

Phil

not sure i understand, surely the idea of a mapped drive is that it is there in "My computer" each time. do u mean the drives are shared?

as you can map a drive to virtually any folder i doubt theres a program that does what you want. If you add a drive as a user though it should stay there as long as you have the reconnect at logon box ticked.

Other ways would be login scripts to map the necessary drives at logon.
