This is becoming quite an annoyance

im using whs2011 on a micoserver that is configured to come on when a connected client is turned on

what is the best way to map the network drives and configure reconnection with say a minutes delay (time enough to allow the server to boot properly)

also, with whs is it best to map the drives by Ip address or with server name?

//192...
or
//server-name

Where possibly - I wouldn't map network drives - just access it via the share names.

I find that mapped network drives need to be accessed by Windows Explorer before you can use them - just going straight to the shares bypasses this requirement.

+1 just access via share name, that's how it intended to work.
