I have the opportunity to buy one of these for £60 second hand. I have read it is apparenty weak in the bass department and the power output is 155W RMS Power at 4 Ohms 95W RMS Power at 8 Ohms.

It was also quite expensive a few years ago and won some awards.

Has anyone ever had or used are PM68 or know anything about them?

Thanks

Thanks for the link. I will possibly be upgrading to this from a Cambridge A1 that i have had for many years (maybe ebaying it) I listen to mainly dancy housy stuff on bookshelf speakers.

There are some useful reviews in there, however some of very contradicting -

The bass probably is too weak for bookshelf speakers
-
It may be a little reserved at lower frequences, but that don't have to be a weakness
-
Ideal for heavy-metal fans who like to punch the drum, bass and guitar lines
around their ears. This amp will definetely do it.
-
The amp is very honestly in that way. It play best with rock, alternative, classical and pop.
-
Then I left it on for over 24 hours, and I was amazed.
The amp seemed more sensitive, and suddenly performed so musical, warm and clear that one could feel the instruments in the air. All this even at very low volume levels.
-
This is a party-amp and I would recommend it only to people who prefer LOUD music

I suppose i will only know if i test it out :)

Thanks again
