Clearly what I mean is I wouldn't be going out in public claiming I know him to be innocent when multiple women are making accusations of abuse. What I might say to him in private is completely different. You are posting like no one has ever uttered the words" I can't believe it, I thought i knew him and now I find out he did all these terrible things"

You seem to have some difficulty distinguishing allegations from actual evidence. I choose the one story that has provable evidence. The guy was sacked. It can be demonstrated to be the case.

I appreciate the update. As someone who used to be a fan years ago its nice to find out people you liked werent total monsters.
Obviously the tabloids shout as loud as they can when hes accused but you never hear much about the cases getting thrown out or whatever.
Thats why I dont think its weird to post something like this. Id never have heard about it otherwise.

Are you Manson's friend? The OP writes like he wants to be. So he sacked a band member who had an accusation against him, not Manson himself, wow. Just ignore the numerous other accusations by multiple women. I will always remember all the people who worked with Jimmy Saville, at his charity etc and claimed the accusations were all lies, he would never do it, there was no evidence. Things didn't turn out so well there.
Except these are not independent accusations. They are also far far more limited in number than those against Saville.
We'll go back to Depp and look at how many came out to try and corroborate Heards stories and yet were found to be liars with actual evidence that showed this.
I'd also discount anything that Trent Reznor comes out with, their musical feud goes deep and is well known.

I've no idea if he's guilty or not. I don't want him to be guilty, I kind of hope he isn't because if he is it means at least some of those accusations are true and those people were genuinely abused. GD is the oddest place, you comment on a thread like this making no claim as to someone's guilt or innocence and some posters just seize on it because they clearly have made up their minds up already. Derek Chauvin was a perfect example, the amount of posters right up to the minute before they jury said "guilty" who claimed he was innocent. When numerous people make similar accusations about someone I would be very wary of stating you know them to be innocent, especially when you don't know them. Depp had one accuser if memory serves and that accuser had accusers of her own. These cases are nothing alike from that point of view.

As I said in the post above, this is nothing like the Depp Heard case.
I treat them as unfounded.
if you've been following the Depp stuff too you'll have noticed how much JOhnny-positive stuff is ignore by mainstream media and yet every little thing AH did was trumpeted and headlines termed in such a was a to imply she was still a prejudiced victim.
i just thank **** that the trial was broadcast and we could all see for ourselves - can you imagine how MSM would be playing it if we just got the verdict and nothing else? they'd still be crucifying JD and bleating all about how AH had been robbed.

I don't think men including myself, hate women per se, as some will claim, we just refuse to deify them all when many are undeniably publicity seeking, lying, devious, manipulative greedy bitches 
Some men will have a justifiably jaundiced view of women via the divorce courts and UK divorce law, for those men I have less sympathy, the imbalance of marriage and divorce law is well known, or easy to research. Women in the UK have long sought equality, but when the heat in the kitchen rises, the equality is out of the window. It's bizarre how some men will blindly take womens' sides whatever the evidence that exists to show they are in the wrong, or milking the system for personal gains, be it financial or media coverage.

Who is taking the alleged victims side here? I’ve not seen a single post saying he’s guilty but some saying he’s innocent of all accusations. Some have pointed out that there are numerous allegations from different women. One or more of them may be lying but that doesn’t mean they all are. That appears to be the default position of some.

Accusations against a male celebrity. With a female celebrity accuser. Some of her mates. Some of those making accusations already shown to be lying.
