Mario Galaxy Question

When you get the message "Galaxy Complete" does it mean just that and there are no hidden stars left to find in that galaxy, or just the message simply mean that you've completed all the normal star quests in that galaxy?

You've gotten all the stars it has to offer, not just those available to you at a given period in time (i.e. excluding hidden ones) but all in total. So you never have to play the galaxy again.

The galaxy gets a crown on it when you're looking at the planets in the observatory too.
