How sad is it? I mean i've raced vs 3 other people on Mario Kart online with the DS and at least one in every race is cheating.

They simply have to be, their car was all jerky, kinda like a speedhack cheat when someone uses it on CS when they are all over the place.

Using speedboost still didnt catch up with them.

Why do people have to do this its just a bit of fun yet they have to cheat just to be number 1? Surely there is no satisfaction of winning like that?!

they snake. some people you ask will call it cheating, some won't. personally i think it completely ruins the game, and that's why i don't have the game anymore. it got boring after i'd completed it because i was looking forward to playing it online. shame that, as the DS doesn't have any decent racers :(

i wouldn't call it cheating, after all if there wasn't no speed boost enabled then there would be no snaking to achieve extra boosts on straights. Same with Burnout Revenge you can get extra speed of ramps and bumps in executed properly but its not documented, also PGR3 and the slip gears method.

if your good and learn then you could do it too

I just don't like MK DS on-line at all. I mean, OK, it's meant to be fun and if you want something more serious then look elsewhere. However, I find it just too frustrating. Fun to me isn't winning a race right from the start and then getting hit by blue shells right at the finish and watching a bunch of Muppet's, that can't even drive in a straight line, fly past you :( Any skill requirement is almost totally negated by the power-ups.

Agreed. I was excited with playing Mario Kart online but after a couple of weeks, it has worn off.

I just wanted fun but it seemed to me that there are too many snakers out there. Maybe I should join snakers' club but then, tapping direction/skid buttons every second is not my idea of fun. :(

I've just got it too and I'm a bit disappointed by the amount of "snakers" on online. I could try to learn it myself but I think it takes the fun out of the game.

We should start our own OcUK league on there, perhaps have a non-snaking division and a snaking one for the people who don't want to do all the speed boosts around the track. Anyone up for it?

Blue shells are pretty simple to dodge, they really pose no problems once you learn to dodge them.

Snaking has been in every mario kart bar the SNES one and is even shown on nintendos official tips for the game. End of that cheating arguement then (I admit you can dislike it all you want though :) )

How do you dodge the blue shells if you don't mind me asking?! Would be nice to know.

:)

Super Famicom version>Super Circuit>rest of them.

can't understand how they can make each version progressively worse. I just hope that the original's available on the Wii's virtual console ;).
