Mario Party 8 for wii...

I loved Mario Party 1 and 2 after that I feel they became to much of a yearly franchise i,e adding content but also taking away content. I'd rather they made a best of release with the best boards and best mini games. Number two had the right idea mini game wise. :)
 
i always liked the franchise.. but really needs an online mode.. otherwise you might as well get 3 4 5 6 7 .. there all pretty much the same
 
Mario Party 8 seemed to get rubbish reviews from most online sites and magazines.

If ive NEVER played ANY of the other MP titles, would MP8 still be a bad game?

Did it score low simply because it was nothing new to the franchise or is it a bad game?
 
My friend got his the other day and said its absolutley the worst game hes ever played. And he loved all the Mario Party games, so must be bad :(
 
Aparently this one was particularly bad.. the Wii control implementation was naff as well as adding nothing new, and actually having less content than both 5 , 6 and 7.
