Mark of the Ninja ?

yeah its amazing, put around 5 hours into it atm and don't think im anywhere near the end yet, it's really really fun.

Wow, I thought it sounded too good to be true but that really does sound great. There's something non-alcohol-related for my bank holiday weekend :) Sold!

Really enjoying it, probably the best stealth game since Chaos Theory, christ I can't believe how much they've moved on from it, replacing Ironside as well just barf.

This will do for now but really want another great 3D stealth game.

I like dishonoured, but I don't know, the stealth feels too easy with blink and the AI seems very inconsistent. Also I liked grabbing people for interrogation in splinter cell to find out codes etc.
Dishonoured I just wanted to blast through for some reason and the mana resourcing was just turd, either let me unlock a higher base pool or reduce mana cost as potions were far too scarce on highest difficulty when you wanted to do possess stuff etc.

Yeah mana could have been handled better for sure, but I didn't notice that much tbh, as I didn't use many powers really and focused more on the passive upgrades such as athletics and health. I only really used Blink and the sight one(can't remember...dark vision?)tbh, and I only upgraded them very late in the game. I might have used the slow-time one a few times as well.

I kind of realised early on that you might get OP with all the skills so I purposefully didn't upgrade many of them, and left some til later.

Read the reviews...

I was going to wait for a cheap sale or even a price drop in the longer term, but with everyone who's played it raving about it it must be pretty ace!

Downloading now, might treat myself to a couple of hours tonight :D

Indeed. I'm very tempted to pick it up too just because of how awesome everyone says it is.

downloaded this last night off steam, have to say its pretty damn good. Good chuckle, that artwork is brilliant. Only downside imo is there isnt enough kill animations

Hmmmm, I REALLY wanted to go the whole way through the game with no kills. Seems when you start you're required to kill on the first level.

I know there's a 'new game +' option once you've completed it keeping all upgrades and weapons, so perhaps I'll have to save my no kill play through until the second time around.

I'll put a couple of hours into this tonight and come back with some opinions :)

First three levels down (with quite a bit of OCD replaying and experimenting) and I think it's brilliant!!

Obviously it looks amazing, like playing a less sci-fi version of Samurai Jack :D

It's like playing a 2D version of splinter cell without the tech elements. Lots of sneaking, head on fighting is impossible, stealth kills are very satisfying, puzzles are fun and as yet not frustrating or just used as time fillers...
I'm currently trying to play through with zero kills, it's going OK so far and is a rewarding challenge, I've no doubt it'll be just as fun to sneak about chopping baddies up too. I've had a peek at the achievements and some of the 'chop em up' ones sound pretty fun and inventive.

Well worth the £12, and when it comes down to a fiver in some sale then you absolutely HAVE to get it.

I'll probably make the effort to come back with more to say once I've completed it :)

New DLC coming

I'm sure there is an official thread somewhere, but I can't find it...

http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/19/mark-of-the-ninja-special-edition-dlc-adds-flashback-level-ne/

Klei Entertainment is adding to its delightful 2D stealth game Mark of the Ninja with a "Special Edition" DLC meant to evoke a "Criterion Collection" release of the original. The DLC, due this summer for a mysteriously invisible price, adds a flashback level starring the tattoo artist Dosan, a new equippable play style including a "nonlethal takedown ability," a new stealth-focused item, and a "more direct" new item.

As a "Criterion Collection" addition, Klei also recorded developer commentary, which can be accessed at "commentary nodes" throughout the game, in six different languages.
Can't wait. Incredible game!

Oh, and NON-LETHAL TAKEDOWNS:D:D
