Market 1 exchange and heavy usage woes

My exchange has had 21CN enabled this week, at last I can upgrade from my 8meg line. tests are showing i should be able to receive 17meg on my line which would be lovely.

So today I'm looking around for a new ISP, my current provider is unable to upgrade me to an up to 20meg line with my unlimited policy. Their highest cap is 60gb which is far from workable for me, since I average in the region of 120-140gb a month.

Now being a market 1 exchange I can only get BT wholesale providers, I am having a bit of trouble finding a current list of all these providers.

So far it looks like my best bet will be to go with BT, I already have my phone line with them and they offer me an unlimited package for £26 a month.

I'm wondering if there's possibly some new or obscure market 1 providers you know of that might offer me a better deal or service?

Cheers.

Can't be done, I can get their access package or whatever it is but it's no good for me.

Just got my MAC from current provider I think BT might be the one.
Thats Right the access package is pants so i hear
Have you considered one of the Enta resellers?like maybe adsl 24?
Do BT not cap/restrict at various times and or how much you can download etc?.Think i read that

BT throttle p2p, during peak times, and its easily bypassed, they don't cap downloads anywhere, its for all intents and purposes unlimited.

All the resellers that have limits of any kinds will basically work out costing a lot more than BT if you download a lot, for unlimited services, afaik, there is BT, Talktalk, sky, be/o2, Virgin basically, most if not all others have caps of some type, there are definately cheaper packages out there for people who say never download more than 30gb/50/100/etc, and most of those unlimited guys also do cheaper connections with download limits.

I'd have no problem recommending BT, Be were good for a while but, meh lately and probably not available to you, you've said Sky aren't available on an unlimited package, see no reason not to go BT.

Yes I have indeed gone with BT today, switch-on should be 30th, both providers have stated that I should only have a couple of hours of downtime if any at all.

It's a shame that there's such minimal options on a market 1 exchange, I am very envious of those of you who have access to LLU services :P

Thanks for the input folks.

Shame i missed this post. :(

With a 60gb limit was your old isp Plusnet? If so,i was in the same boat with the 60gb limit and called to request a mac....they then offered me an unlimited package for £19 a month (discounted from £25).

It was indeed plusnet and they did offer me unlimited for a discount rate but only up to 8meg for some reason.

It sucks mate.i was on a market 1 for years then all of a sudden Sky put their equipment into my exchange .i signed up and moved isps within a week :D
Now i am jealous of all the people here ,who are on 8meg and up moaning about loosing a few meg every now and then:mad:

TalkTalk is the only LLU supplier at my exchange (no 21cn date yet),was going to go Vivaciti till PN offered me the unlimited.
With my attenuation there`s not a great deal more to be had going LLU anyway with the way my line routes to the exchange.

Are you sure about that? I was with BT for many years (now on Virgin Cable), and it was pretty clear that they had a 100gig monthly cap. Once you hit 100gig, connection would be throttled to 1meg speeds, for the remainder of the month + the following month, regardless of what the traffic was.

They used to have an FUP.
