Can you buy then through xbox.com or do I have to faff around entering my details with a controller?

Buy them from a retailer or e-tailer, probably get more points per pound, just have to wait for a card with a code on to be delivered.

Well on the market place you get 2000 points for I think £17 whereas online from some places (not allowed to mention which places) you can get 2100 points for the same amount of money or very slightly cheaper (but unless you wish to purchase pictures etc then the extra 100 points wont get you anything unless you save it up, seeing as the games are all either 400, 800 or 1200 so It's not possible to use all 2100 on games ;))

Get them from shops like Virgin 2100 for £17 enter 25 digit code and thats it you can also get 3 or 12 month subscription to live from shops.

The only thing that tempted me to buying them through Live was that you could buy 4 quids worth at a time, sort of buy them as you use them.

But I dont believe they accept Visa debit cards which is a bit of a let down, I think it has to be Mastercard/Visa/Amex credit cards.

I bought 2100 points through the marketplace - but there's really not that much at the moment that's worth spending them on.

A little known fact about Visa Debit cards is that you can use them anywhere a Visa Credit card can be used.

Shop assistants are a pain, unless it has a logo on the shop window saying so, or they have been told by a manager they often try to refuse the card. I tell them to put it through as a Visa and it works... EVERYTIME!

I use mine online all the time too, including buying Market Place Points.

Happy shopping!

Visa Debit card will work aslong as it only has the VISA logo on the card and not one of the other forms of VISA

I have a Halifax debit card which is a VISA and used it to purchase points from the market place

quick question regarding Ms Points,

is there anyway of deleting your credit card details from Account Management after you buy points?

The reason i ask is that i have purchased an 360 from these forums, and the previous owner was unable to delete his details from the 360, so he had to cancel his card at his bank.

Now this has me thinking, if i used my credit card details on the 360 to buy points, there will be no way of deleting my details, so i would have to cancel my card! which i dont want to do!

anyone shed any light on this please?

i know i can buy pre paid points card (2100), but i only need 800 points for a gamertag change, i wont be needing any more for demo's and downloads as im not into all that

Why on earth didnt he just delete his profile!? you would then have had to know his MS Passport login to get near his details.

the xbox360 came with 11months Gold Subs and this is the first time im playing on live so hence all i needed to do was change gamertag, other wise i would have had to pay for a new subscription no?

the MS passport is connected to the Gamertag.
