Pretty sure Bovril (Beef anyway) is suitable for vegetarians these days.

No it's not, they removed Beef back in 2004 which made it suitable but they put the Beef back in not long after. They need to bring back Chicken Bovril!

Bovril is part of British Culture, mostly drunk it at football when growing up (and still do), it's a staple in my house.

So is Aldi marmite as good as the branded stuff (even made in the same factory - anyone know?), folks were balking at the cost of a jar of the real stuff over xmas.

Marmite and Bovril are both great but I’d choose Bovril every time.

Have Marmite Chili. Use when I do cheese/eggs/beans/spaghetti hoops on toast/crumpets. Gives a kick.

When I have dregs of Marmite, I make a stock out of it. Fill jar to a quarter of hot water and shake then pour into spaghetti bol/chili etc.

Oh you most certainly can have Bovril with Cheese on toast! just thinly layered once you've crisped up the Cheese. Mmm delicious.

Honestly it's hard to choose as they are both amazing in different ways.

Bovril under cheese on toast is ridiculous and marmite on buttery crumpets gives me a mouth boner.
