Marrakech - April

Walk round the main medina.
Book a full session in a hammam - wash, salt scrub, boil, massage etc. a little painful but very nice!
Jardin gardens are lovely.
You can book a guided walking tour of the Atlas Mountains. Takes about 2 hours to get there. Very nice day out but not that challenging the one we did

I can't remember the place names now (we did do the Medina), but wifey & I spent 10 days in Morocco albeit a decade ago. We started off with 3 days in Marrakesh, absolutely loved it, we were lucky enough to have a suite though in a beautiful hotel on the outskirts of the city to get away from the hustle & bustle if needed.

We had a rental car too and used that to drive to the hotel we had booked in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains for the rest of the trip. Did a lot of driving around and sightseeing, just had a wonderful time full-stop and would gladly go again.

If you have a basic command of French, it helps imo, but everyone we came across was polite and courteous.

I was in Morocco for 6 days last month. Stayed in Marrakesh, visited Casablanca and Essaouira to chill on the beach.

Everything is cheap so if you cant be bothered to walk, get a taxi. If you are travelling far out with the train, buy a first class ticket. Marrakech to Casablanca, first class return ticket cost me £30. Thats an 2hr 30mins train journey each way.

We went in March a few years ago... Just realised it was 9 years ago... We stated in the Medina in a Riad, lots of mint tea, hit the market at night for some excellent food, book up a Hammam, we took a trip in to the Atlas mountains, was really interesting if you know some of Moroccos history.
