Much as I'd love to spend my whole life taking photographs, I'm not that brave, so I have a day job to pay the bills.

I'm doing a phd in Image Processing and Computer Vision here in Nottingham.
My project involves a number of things, but is centred on planetary images, such as orbital photography from Mars and the Moon.

I'm running an experiment here, getting humans to annotate images (in this case old images of Mars), which will become the basis of a test set against which I can benchmark automated methods.

There is no money involved and no prizes or anything I'm afraid, but if you could spare me 2 mins to do even one of these images then it would really help me out.

Thanks

Oh, and if you've got any questions then I'm happy to answer them.

I clicked on the picture, my screen went black and then my computer crashed
Sorry to hear you machine crashed, I havn't had anyone else report issues with Firefox, Opera, Mozzila, Netscape, IE etc. I have tested it pretty thorougly too. It only running a java 1.1 applet so nothing that any version of Firefor shouldn't support.

Let me know if you have any more problems, and if we can figure out the problem I'll either fix it or post a warning.

Thanks,
Mike

Seems it's a problem at my end with Java, I've tried Firefox and IE and both crash. Ive tried reinstalling Firefox and Java to no avail so I'm heading over to the Windows section to see if they can suggest anything bar a format.

Good luck with your research, I will try again when I get this fixed.

In an odd way this is quite theraputic. Unfortunately my selection criteria is wavering slightly - one picture will have a few craters that look interesting, the next will be ALL craters!

I've done 10, I think. The more I got into it the more I lost track!
