These have just landed along with the odd sample for us to have a play with and all I can say is Wow! I am absolutely blown by the clarity and depth that the headphones provide, The Majors are simply sublime!

I myself have a set of Sennheiser PXC 450s that cost me around £240 odd about 6 months ago and are still sat at this price. The Majors are so so close to the sound quality produced by the 450s with mid tones and the higher notes hitting a near perfect match that they are barely any different. The only draw back I can see is that the base although warm and reasonably deep feels a little more punchy rather than the more rounded sound from the 450s. As for comfort, the Majors sit very nicely on the head isolating all background noise and not suffering in the slightest from the hustling noise sometimes associated with noise cancelling headphones when the cables rub on clothing. Another major bonus is how light they are! You can barely feel them on your head making them an absolute pleasure to use.

At just short of £90 I honestly cannot recommend these enough so if your in the market for some nice light weight high quality cans then I suggest that the Marshall Majors are certainly looked in to. :)

Wifey`s bought me a pair of the Major`s.I`ve tried them alongside a pair of Beyer DT250`s that i use regularly.I have to agree with pretty much everything Andy has said.I use the Beyer`s for Monitoring, through a Line 6 HD500,and being a Guitarist,i`m Tone obsessed. To be fair,i think the Beyer`s have the edge, but not by much. The Marshalls are worth considering for sure.

Beyer DT250s are an excellent headset for sure so its certainly nice to know that the Marshalls are a worthy alternative. The Beyer DT100 and DT770s also have to watch out too.

Going to purchase a set myself I think :)
