My apology makes sense.
For those who take it in good faith, as a laugh, they don't need an apology, they take it as what it is.
Those who feel lied to, I'm sorry for that.
Your demographic I have no sympathy for.
I'll ask comedians with unfunny acts to apologise to me while I'm at it? (Same logic, a joke's a joke)

How the **** was your "joke" funny? I fail to see it, sorry.

not funny remotely - action should be taken as obvious trolling

I mean you couldn't completely discount the results, as they weren't "obviously" fake, they were believable thats for sure.

and to further go on to call the German first user reviews as "fake" - which they weren't. It seemed to be a genuine attempt to discredit, for no reason, some other users results just because they were less than favourable - its ridiculous

sorry - I just don't see the humour

Agreed, only worse than trolling it was a deliberate attempt to mislead.

Where have I ever deliberatly attempted to mislead? everything I have posted has been based on something I believe(d) at the time of posting even if you don't believe me. I could easily have posted fake data to try and convince people if that was my intention... and far less likely to be caught out with my knowledge and skill set.

Its probably better to just pipe down now Rroff :)

thank you mate

I don't see where i went wrong in that post? he posted it on another forum and was called fake within 1 post. If anyone brought this card based on one benchmark they obviously have a few screws loose no?

And I admitted to it once they'd guessed how.
And it wasn't exactly one post, someone suggested photoshop, which it wasn't.

It was Wu who guessed it was false, and had REAL evidence, which is my lapse with the day previous time stamp.

tbh i don't see the point doing fakes results.. yes it maybe a joke/funny, but most people look at this forum to get real true information/results.

but i've always said never believe/trust review sites and users results....

You know what that is, don't you? Misrepresentation :)
In the Common Law of contract, you can be held liable for any persons who entered a contract to buy based on your misleading claims. So just hope nobody is REALLY upset with the 6970.

Really though that wasn't much of a joke, seems like an attempt to net AMD a lot of early buyers. Not that I sympathise with them, pre-ordering ANYTHING is a terrible idea.

EDIT: Ouch. I was only playing around, but after seeing that Gibbo actually referenced to the fake benches, that actually DOES make this legal misrepresentation :(
Anyone who bought one and wants a refund, yeah, you can make a claim...

Be more careful people! Jeez.
