Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two

Is there a reason why the Green lantern isn't in the Avengers film? Considering his job is to protect earth it seems weird he isn't in it, can anyone explain?

It's Thanos who's the big baddy in Avengers 2. We won't see Galactus in the next phase.

We don't know that for sure yet. The vignette at the end of The Avengers could just be the lead in to the Guardians of the Galaxy.

I definitely think we won't see Galactus though, even if the rights of Fantastic Four do revert back to Marvel.

Galactus won't be in it any time soon as Fox have the license and don't seem willing to give it up.

It seems like the rights might revert back to Marvel if they don't move on it soon.

Basically it's looking like this for Fox: if they want to hang on to Daredevil, which they have to make on move on by October 10th, then Marvel are saying that they need to give up Galactus and Silver Surfer. Here's the link I posted before which explains everything.

At the moment it's all just speculation. link I think it's far more likely that they will let the Daredevil rights lapse than give away the rights to Galactus and Silver Surfer, especially with a Fantastic Four reboot in the works.

IF Carnahan gets DD, it'll be something special. Shame for the first, as pointed out, The Director's Cut was actually a good film, I thoroughly enjoyed it, far worse tripe out there from the comic universes.

FOX won't let The FF rights drop now that they have Josh Trank developing it and directing.
