Mashed PS3 pad

The pad I got with this PS3 is kinda cack, it constantlly moves foward itself in-game and in-menus it's really annoying.

Is there any way that you can fix this or is it just a case of having to buy a new one? :/

MY friend had the same issue but he returned it, If its not under warranty try unscrewing it and fiddling inside, or click both sticks in and spin 3 times...... (got that part off youtube)
