Mass effect 1 problems

Ive just bought Me1 on disk, installed disk 1 put the code in ect ect. proceeded to put in disk 2 to load up and i only get "play" not install, so i click that something pops up and then goes non responding, does the same with only disk 1 to. Ive tried re installing already, what else can i try?

Is it possible to put the code into Origin instead and download it?

I'm not sure about this, though.

Tried it didn't work

, the error i get is "Mass Effect utility configuration has stopped responding"

Ok i think ive got it, i have to launch it from the .exe not the launcer. This shouldnt cause any problems right?
