Mass Effect 2 in the works?

Just after looking around the interweb for Mass Effect 2 information after just completing what is essentially one of the best game's i have ever played in my gaming history i wanted some gen on what's in for the next installment i quickly came upon this little gem of info.

Casey Hudson, Project Director for BioWare, has said that players should keep their Mass Effect save-files,[2] because decisions made by the player in the first game will continue to have influences on their character in the sequel.[3] Players who have not played the first Mass Effect will start a new character in Mass Effect 2, and will be brought up to speed on the story elements that have taken place thus far in the series.[4] It is highly recommended, however, that people play the first game before playing the sequel. Hudson also states that characters from the previous game will return, provided that they were not killed.[3]

This is a great concept as i want to carry on my character i created into the next game rather than have a new "looking" character and make me feel totally out of place. It's also been said that they should be making a trilogy out of it but i think the 3rd or maybe the second installment coming to the next xbox.

Also has been said for a 09/10 release so im keeping my eye's peeled

I wouldnt expect the pc version to come out tho untill 2010

Sweeet, love the idea you can keep your character from the first one, will certainly be buying and new Mass Effect games, bring it on

Ive just ordered a pc copy of mass effect. I already own the xbxo360 version but ive decided to go the pc route. How does it play, as opposed to the console version. Do we get the dl content like on xbox live?

Yeah, it tells you to get the patch and d/l content. I haven't done it as I couldn't be arsed registering.

The new interface is much better though - pressing SPACE pauses the action and allows to click on all your abilities and guns right there.

Can't wait to continue playing my evil ******* character. I wonder if they'll update the graphics. The Mass Effect graphics were pretty sweet, so I wonder if they'll bother.

Yeah can't wait. Loved the first game which i played on the 360, but might be tempted to go for the pc version now that i finally have computer that will run new games! Was the original pc version any different in content from the console version? extra missions, convo options etc.?
