mass effect 2 lag help

Hey

Im getting slow down on mass effect 2 when i really dont think i should be, i have the settings pretty high but i play much more demanding games than this without a sweat. Its mainly when i move into new enviroments.

i7 930 running at 3.2
5870
6gb ddr3 1600

Worth checking to see if your HDD needs a defrag.

Also have you updated your graphics drivers recently? If memory serves me well then around 10.1/10.2 a hotfix was released to fix issues with ME2.

yeah ive updated them to 10.7, changed almost every setting in catalyst and the games config. I just really dont get it. spent 2 hours googling and testing and still runs very poor
