Mass effect 2 - Which class?

Vanguard was the only class i wanted to play in the first.

But in me2, the vanguards charge ability, while cool, looks like it could get your character into a lot of trouble.

I'll probably go Adept.

You do realise you dont play with the same character, you only get a bonus for completing ME1. You have to start a new character.

Oh my bad, thanks for correcting me. I must have got it mixed up with Borderlands where you keep your character/weapons in the second playthrough :)

I'm going to play soldier again. In the first game i played a '3 pure class' squad, taking Tali and Liara with me on every mission after i got them.

I really liked this setup and i'm planning to play ME2 the same way, so i'll definitely be taking Tali again but since Liara is not available as a squad mate this time around i will have to choose a replacement. Subject Zero appears to be a pure biotic build so she might be a good choice, but i might take Thane since he has biotics and also good with sniper rifles etc...

Looking forward to friday now, i am hoping that we can start the pre-load on Steam at midnight tonight (US got 48hour preload).

One thing i forgot to mention is that i play ME with squad powers turned off, meaning i am in control of them using tech/biotic abilities. This makes the game so much more fun IMO!

It was released as a pre-load yesterday for everyone, eu and usa. Mine downloaded allready :D

Also people remembe your dragon armor if you got the special Dragon Age Origins order. The pre-order/dd/ce promo's can be found on the BioWare Social Network site when you log in and activate your games :)

Hmm, how did you get it to pre-load? I bought the game and it's listed in my games, but it just says 'Not yet released' and when i right click it i have no option to preload :(

I'm undecided, I think i'll wait till the game arrives then give the descriptions another read, I'm leaning towards soldier and vanguard but there all pretty interesting so... toughy

Soilder looks like it could be a lot of fun having access to an entire arsenal with diffrent bullets aswell as awsome heavy weapons.

Think Infiltraitor/Adept/Vanguard for me depending on how the new combat system works(shoot where you point, biotics being even more usefull:D)

Heavy weapons arent exclusive to the soldier class. LMGs do look like they will wipe the floor with everything else though
